Educational simulators are interactive resources designed to empower STEAM educators and learners alike. They offer a hands-on approach to exploring concepts, allowing students to actively engage with content, test ideas, and visualize outcomes in real time. These tools are ideal for any STEAM educator seeking to refresh their teaching practices and create truly captivating lessons and extra-curricular activities.
Inspired by the success of other programs like the EASE X-Change program, which saw over 25000 downloads, our platform is built on the power of community. Any educator or organization can create and share simulators, contributing to a growing library of resources that benefit the entire STEAM community.
STEAM StartUp simulators are developed through a dual-role model: technical developers (3 credits) and pedagogical leads (1 credit) work together to create high-quality educational tools with accompanying lesson plans.
As educational needs evolve, so must our methods. These simulators are not just tools-they are an invitation to join a forward-thinking community dedicated to impactful, interactive learning. For STEAM educators committed to meaningful, modern teaching, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
We have a STEAM StartUp! With a revenue system for stakeholders in the STEAM StartUp, designed to fairly reward educators who contribute simulators to the platform. Each simulator submitted to the STEAM StartUp must be developed by a team of two:
- Technical Developer (receives 3 credits per simulator)
- Pedagogical Lead (receives 1 credit per simulator [2 credits if certified e-trainer by EASE at https://ease-educators.com/ease-academy-certified-e-trainers]);
Credits represent shareholder percentage in the STEAM StartUp program.
Anyone can submit a simulator, provided both roles are filled. The Pedagogical Lead must produce a Lesson Plan (following the EASE template) to support the use of the simulator in educational settings. Simulators developed through this collaborative model will be accessible to subscribers of the STEAM StartUp community.
Users subscribe to the platform to gain access to all simulators, and their subscription fees generate the program’s revenue. The total revenue collected is distributed to the stakeholders every trimester (every three months). The share each stakeholder receives is proportional to the number of simulators they have contributed relative to the total simulators available on the platform.
For example, if an educator has 1 credit out of 8 total, they receive 12.5% of the earnings for that period. Payouts happen every semester regardless of the amount earned, providing consistent reward cycles. This revenue-sharing model encourages educators to contribute quality simulators and supports a collaborative, sustainable educational ecosystem.
